Handmade Irish Peterson Aran Briar Pipe

Introduced in 1965, the Aran has become a staple of Peterson’s classic briar pipe shaping. The rustic finish adds a rugged, masculine look to the series, distinguished by its craggy, hand-carved rustication. Each hand-carved briar pipe is finished with a deep, earthy walnut stain and is made by hand in Ireland, shaped and polished by skilled craftsmen. Peterson maintains a 150-year legacy of quality craftsmanship to the hands of collectors worldwide.

The Aran presents deep rustic staining with extra-craggy raised peaks and dimpled grooves, reminiscent of Peterson's traditional rustications. Each one is handcrafted with a unique personality so sizes may slightly vary:

All Peterson pipes include a beautifully boxed pipe safely encased in a branded Peterson pipe sock. Each Peterson pipe should be treated with care, as it is handcrafted wood. It should be stored at room temperature, avoiding excessively dry or damp air conditions.

Every Peterson pipe is born from a high-quality briar stummel, selected for its grade and consistent composition. The machine-turned briar then undergoes our proprietary rustication process to give the finished pipe elevated character and texture. Your Peterson pipe will bear identifying markings to denote its country of origin and to verify its authenticity. Before leaving the workshop, all finished pipes undergo careful quality control to conform with Peterson’s rigorous standards.
